1. Why should I choose NPS?

NPS was started by a Nurse Practicioner to meet the communities need to care for individuals needing assistance, monitoring and assesment.    NPS is a privately owned corporation providing companion services to clients in a variety of living situations. Trained Companions are Non-Nursing personnel that provide hygiene assistance, meal preparation, light housekeeping and social stimulation for the client.

2. How do you select and screen your caregivers?

Our caregivers' backgrounds are carefully scrutinized. We thoroughly check their employment and personal references, and conduct a criminal background search. All Companions are fingerprinted. Potential caregivers are interviewed and trained by a Nurse Practicioner. Throughout this process, all the information we acquire is used to make the best possible match between the older adult and caregiver.

3. Is NPS insured?

Absolutely. For our client's protection and peace of mind, our caregivers are bonded and covered by workers' compensation insurance. We also carry general and professional liability insurance coverage.

4. Must I commit to a minimum term of care?

We have a four-hour service minimum, which can be scheduled one time a day, week, or month. There is no commitment to a minimum term.

5. Can I meet my caregiver in advance?

Yes, you may meet your caregiver(s) in advance and decide who meets your unique needs.
